My sister dug up this photo from the early 70s, taken by our mom. We were trimming the tree in the family home. My dad is in the background. We would have been in high school.
My sis is Frankie to my Grace, and those seeds were obviously sown early. We have wondered where my preppyish streak came from, and eventually concluded it got it from dad, although who knows where he got it... But look at us here both in blue turtlenecks.
Funny thing, she posted this on Facebook, and my high school best friend remembers this sweater! (I barely do.)
