Hey, Runnerchick, yep, I knew that! I grew up in Boston and learned more about the discovery of America by Columbus, the arrival of the Pilgrims, and the American Revolution than anyone should know. Was just lecturing my kid yesterday about the real meaning of the Boston Tea Party.
I saw a good post on Facebook yesterday: "In honor of Columbus Day, let's all move into someone else's house and say we own it."
It especially offends me when people use the term "(ndian giver", because of the history. In fact, the real meaning would be someone who gives to the Native Americans, then takes back the gift.
