Black & white & red (not exactly) all over

Help! Spring is giving up! We had such nice weather—sunny, often reaching low 60s for two weeks. Now we are back to the cold spring weather typical for here—overcast and 40s, with lots of rain in the forecast.

I’m wearing “new” clothes, bought in the past decade:
Sorels bought at year’s end
Pants & jacket from when we moved here, fall ‘18
Sweater purchased at The Rack in Tampa, probably around the time I started ylf, in an attempt to simulate winter.
Coach mini bought secondhand ca 2015

Can’t decide what I’m doing with my hair—bangs or no, let it keep growing to see if it can reach my waist or chop it to the length of the shortest layers?

Do I want a necklace? What kind/shape?

Sideswept bangs? A harmonious ensemble, with all the composition principles in play - tight colour palette, a balance of textures and fabric weights, white at top and bottom to take the eye through the whole outfit. I feel like a delicate pendant could be nice.

Hair length is very tricky for me. I find it helpful to look through pictures of myself to see if I can figure out which hair length I like the best.

Love the red/white/black combo. White boots take the outfit to another level imo. I would place a short necklace in the bare chest skin area, like a dropped choker with a type of medallion on.

Thanks Jonesy. Your comment has just made me realize that the white boots are my “replacement” for the metallic ones. It doesn’t seem like a 1:1 replacement, but either way it is light on my feet. Ada described this to me once when discussing gold (or other metallic) shoes—it works like a light color, because metallic and white both reflect light. Forehead slap—that’s why I wanted the white boots!

Spring deserted us as well…April 1st and it’s going to be a high of 45F/7c tomorrow. The pop of red here looks fab, it really lifts the black and white.

I love the puffer jacket with the boots. Great outfit and it looks comfy too. I find hair hard to decide on. I don't suit bangs (or fringes we call them). I think swept to one side might be nice...have you ever grown out your fringe?

Yes like that, or could be a bit lower.

Punchy colour scheme I like it as is, but a silver necklace could work to fill in the neckline too.

I know what you mean about not knowing what to do with long hair - if I tie it back like that, sometimes I'll pull the ponytail over my shoulder for something different. If you wear a low hanging ponytail, have you considered plaiting it (instead of leaving it 'open' after the hair tie)? @Ginger had some good suggestions for long hair on one of my recent threads, but some required particular clips/ ties - not sure how much time you want to spend on playing with your hair?
