Black Sunglasses: Vote!

Ack...this sunglasses weeding out makes me really anxious, but I know it must be done. In order not to overwhelm, I thought I'd break it up! I have three pairs of Black sunglasses:

I think I have a slight preference for the escada over the Chanel. I don't care for the Gucci much at all.

I vote keep the Chanels and toss the other two. The Escada are only OK, and I don't like the Gucci at all on you. Those look too big for your face.

It was so interesting looking at them in the pictures because the Guccis were clearly the losers!! Too big, too light lenses... I couldn't decide between the other two.

Taylor, I don't really *have* to only keep one. With regard to these black ones, the Chanels are a LOT sportier, even in fit, than the Escadas, which I find more glamorous. I just need to weed out, and even weeding out one pair is better than nothing. I think there are a lot more pairs to weed out apart from these.

Lisa, lol, I can't "toss" a pair of $250 sunglasses...sell or donate, yes, but into the trash these will not go. (I know that's not what you meant - I just spent a lot of money on my glasses collection so it's hard for me to weed them out.)

I am going to post all my other glasses together, because now, as it turns out, I will probably get a prescription pair! So I will need help deciding whether to get one pair I have prescription or get a new pair altogether (when I have the $$.)

Rosie-FYI, if you are going to get prescription sunglasses, you may be limited in using your existing frames. Sometimes the prescription strength limits the size frame you can put the lenses into.

Lisa, thanks, I was concerned about the same thing. I asked the people at the store yesterday and they said that it usually won't be a problem. My prescription is not very strong at all so there isn't a thickness issue. But, certainly some of these styles might not work.

I am totally not opposed to getting a new pair of prescription glasses, especially if I weed out virtually all my others! I will just need some help picking what style is best and what will be most versatile. I don't really NEED to wear the prescription lenses all the time, but would like to have a pair since I pretty much wear sunglasses every moment during the day while outside if there is even a hint of sun or glare.

I would get rid of the Gucci and keep the other two. My favorite is Escada and second Chanel. The Escada pair is little trendier, Chanel a little more classic. I think you'll have uses for both.
