I think that top one is worth trying on, the low sleeve ruching detail looks neat. I'm not quite an IT but I do have a very strong shoulder line, so I have a really hard time with blazers; I can't remember how sloped your shoulders are (and I see you sneakily removed your shape photos ) but do be wary of how thick the shoulder pads in any blazer are and where they fall.

My shoulders are pretty straight across and a little bulky from rock climbing. So yes, jacket shopping is a nightmare. The only way I know is to try, but you all are so good at eliminating my plain old bad choices first!

Well in the first two options, you have my two favorite brands, MK and Tahari, I like the longer style of the first one personally, but the second one is equally nice, just shorter. What works better for your shape and body type?

The second set of jackets are FAB, LOVE LOVE LOVE the first in yellow! What an impression that would make.

The Tahari jackets reads more appropriate for court. Also it's definitely not a style that will date for a while.

I like that first one a lot, but I agree that the ruched sleeves are maybe a bit too casual for court days (I'm guessing, from what you've said). I love the idea of a red jacket for you (with your hair--too fab!) but I'm not sure about that particular style....Of course, there is only one way to decide about stuff--you must buy it and try it on here :).

Have you seen the jackets at Ann Taylor lately? Online at least, they are having a big sale and have lots of black jackets in relatively modern shapes (but reasonably conservative for court) at cheap prices, and I would bet they'd have a decent petites selection.

#2 - fab and for court. Versatile.

#3 - KILLER. Had this on a client today.

#4 - pass. Low stances are hard to pull off when you're petite.

What does "low stance" mean?

That leather jacket is to die for, but it is SO not anything I need. The red jacket, on the other hand - will it have any longevity? I adore it, and I have nothing red in my closet for work....

Jonesy, I love AT, but the shipping is an additional $15 to here, on top of what we pay anyway. If I ever get to Seattle (I'm thinking December!)...
