Hi, NancyJ. I haven't shopped for skinny jeans a lot myself, but I did find quite a few styles in the Levis line at Kohls. I actually liked a few of them, so maybe give it a try? That way you can play around with the look before investing in a more expensive pair. If I recall correctly, they did come in larger sizes as well.
