Black romper: yay or nay?

Hi, guys!

So I found a black romper yesterday but I didn't buy it because it was a new style for me and had no idea how to style it or where should I wear it. It has a grown up vibe but I'm kind of upgrading my style so it could be a nice option.
Also I think you can play up/ down the sexiness depending on how closed you were it, the type of bra you use or if you wear another layer underneath.
I like a hard edge on my outfits but I can be a little bit softer sometimes,
So yay or nay? How and where would you wear it? Be honest!

Darling. If i were 10 years younger, i would. I would also try it with chunky booties, oxfords or loafers. Add tights and you can wear it until the snow comes.

Bj1111, I love your ideas! I didn't find "online" inspiration on how to wear this garment so I'm glad to hear your suggestions. They're brilliant and didn't think of them. I want to make sure it is a versatile piece and that I can personalize it.

You can also try wearing a button down shirt underneath to change up the look.

I also think it looks really great on you. How are the sleeves? I can't quite tell about the length and whether you can roll them. Use fashion tape if you aren't sure about how the wrap neck will behave.

I second bj's suggestions, also under a leather jacket or other contrasting topper like an oversized drapey/chunky cardigan or sweater. I'd experiment with all kinds of tights with booties and oxfords, and bare legs with flat sandals (gladiators if it's warm enough) and maybe sneakers (low cut cons, slip ons, etc.)
The romper has a chic, sexy thing going so contrasting that with more tomboy shoes or a jacket or sweater would be interesting to my eye when you wanted to dress it down. Dressing it up is pretty much a slam dunk with a clutch and some kind of refined shoes (doesn't need to be heels).

You can definitely roll up the sleeves. The fabric is a little bit thick, so I don't know how it will work with a light jacket on top, a chunky one will definitely work. The fashion tape would be something new on my wardrobe but it's a must! By the way, could you give me and example of an elegant shoe that's not a heel?
I want to wear it as a fall look, right now is still a little bit hot here but with cooler weather I would be able to experiment a lot more.

I think it looks fantastic on you! Do you have nude-to-you footwear? Or a pointy toe loafer? What about those kinds of lace-up gladiator heels (in black or any other color)? It might also work to wear the romper with a longer, slightly oversized, blazer. Or a black or white moto. A sporty bomber would look great too. The possibilities seem to be endless! With a range of hard or soft edge looks.

CocoLion, I do have a pair of nude sandal heels. They're nice. I'm loving the idea of the gladiator heels... I think I definitely have to upgrade my shoes too. I only have flats, lots of boots (chunky and classic ones, not the ankle boot chic ones), and heels that I only use once a year to a special event. I just graduated from university and I got used to having a few pair of comfy shoes. I'm digging the oversized blazer and the bomber.

I'll go to the store in this week and I'll buy the romper Thank you for your ideas. I'll show you the outfit creations later!
