I am a lifelong Hello Kitty fan. I was smitten when in May Furla released a Hello Kitty handbag collection. However, the price of this bag was just too expensive. I saw it on line, saw it in person and swooned, but ultimately could just not bring myself to buy it at full price and must confess to stalking it online for months.

It is sooo pretty, the picture does not highlight the iridescent sheen on the bag. I love the colours in it - especially that it has both turquoise and red. However, it is small - its not called a mini bag for nothing. Luckily I can fit my phone, lipstick, mini purse and keys in it - but thats all.

So YAY for Black Friday sales and Christmas.

Our Outlet Furla shop had one red Kitty bag left in their 50% off sale (they only had older stock and models on the floor - but it was a good discount).

I had a chat with DH and he said that it would be a good idea if Santa bought the mini Kitty Furla and matching scarf. DH said to start using it tomorrow because we are off to the basketball and having a hands free bag will be useful (local basketball team is the Wildcats and their colours are red and black - so the bag is a bit of a fun play with that).

I am a bit dubious about whether this smaller size bag is going to be a workhorse. Normally I carry around quite a lot of stuff (most unnecessary), you never know, it may well get far more use than I expect simply because it is small.

I hope others have had success in the Black Friday sales. Definitely a time NOT to buy things that you do not want or need, but great to grab a highly desired piece at the right price.

This is my first Furla and a special one at that. I love that it has a connection to YLF, being Angie's bag brand of choice. Of course Hello Kitty is not to everyone's tastes. My boss at work is always perplexed that I could even entertain having any merchandise with it on. I love the link to Japanese kawaii street culture - so bring on the Kitty cat!
