Black for Easter?

I am sooo struggling to find dressy clothes that fit right now. I am not sure I have time for a mall trip today so I am hoping that Shopping My Closet today works for you all.

Ancient black jersey midi skirt (Michael Kors? An old TJ Maxx find)
AT black/white "laser cut lace" ponte knit shell
Caslon knit jacket
Polka dot hose
Black patent heels

I know it's a lot of black for Easter - does the jacket help at all?

ETA to add nude fishnets and green handbag
ETA to add even more variations!
ETA Removed outfits with sheer black hosiery as they were generally not liked
ETA to add dress that both girls are wearing.

Well, it is a beautiful outfit, and you look stunning! The jacket does make it look springy. If you want to lighten it some, I would substitute the dark hose with nude ones and carry a white bag.

I have nude micro-ish fishnets with a seam down the back. No white purse though. Hm.

This might sound strange, but I'd like to see it without the colored topper. I think the hose and shirt are quite elegant, while the blazer is more casual. And if you can't wear elegant for easter, then when? Do you have a white topper you could try or go without? I think the white/black graphic shell brings enough spring to the outfit on its own.

I also love it with the nude hose and the addition of the bright green bag! I would keep the jacket - you can always remove it if it is warm enough.

Oh, the nude hose made all the difference! Amazing how much that change lightened it up. I say keep the jacket - it's such a pretty color on you.

Ugh, my attempt to remove some confusion by taking away the generally disliked outfit (dark hose) was a fail. Sorry Anna - I know you mean the outfit with the nude hose, purple knit jacket and green bag, right?

I have included outfits with no topper, but I am reluctant to actually wear it that way for two reasons. One, the back of the top is solid black, so not particularly uplifting. I might feel differently if it were laser cut like the front. And two, I am likely to be chilly tomorrow morning as it is a 9:30 service.

You guys are saints for coming back again to this thread. Apologies for reordering the photos so much. I don't have complete consensus - but at least I think we all agree this is okay for Easter and not too depressing, right? I am soooo happy I picked up that topper - on a whim - two weeks ago from AT!

OMG I love love love nr.1!!! That black skirt and laser cut top together-and a pop (or two) of colours like that purple and green!!!! One of my faves recently on the YLF! very good job! I want a top like that, too-for lighting up some black skirts!:-)

I haven't read all the comments but vote for nude hose, green bag, and green topper. That seemed the most spring like to me. You look great without the topper too so you could always wear it but take it off later it's warm.
