Black Dress Taupe Shoes?

Hi! I will be attending a black tie optional wedding this Saturday and am still shoe and bag shopping. I did not want to wear black with black. My question is do taupe shoes go with a black cocktail dress?

I think it would be lovely if you chose a shade close to your skin tone and brought in another accessory in a similar color.

Hi! I have salt and pepper hair. I haven't tried on jewelry yet. I could go either silver with crystals or gold. With the taupe shoes I was considering a clutch in a similar color.
I haven't decided on a wrap yet. The wedding is in Conn. and the ceremony is outside.

This sounds like a great combination. I like the idea of the taupe shoes and similar toned clutch with black, especially given your hair color. The shoes will serve more as a bookend with your hair, and I think the overall look will be very chic.
