Black Booties for Day to Night

I'm looking at black booties that would be comfy and casual enough for day to day wear, but could be dressed up a la this picture:

I have a couple of Kenneth Cole Reaction wedges - and I love them - they really work with my foot - I can wear them all day, no problem! I think these boots would definitely go from day to evening - just depends on what you wear with them - the dress would be perfect to dress them up!

I think they would definitely fit the bill so long as they fit close to your ankle. I think for booties to look good with dress/skirt outfits, they really must fit close.

Cute booties! I think these are meant to be a bit loose around the ankle, what with the slouchy ruching and the wide opening. Personally, I like the "gamine" effect of slender ankles in slouchy booties.

I think they're really good-looking, and I would totally wear them with skirts or dresses. I used to have a pair of Kenneth Cole Reaction shoes, and while I don't remember the details, I think they were comfortable and wore well.

I think MPJ is right- I don't see how those could fit close to my leg at the opening. I actually really like the Loft dress, and would get that or something similar and wear it with black patterned hose.

Love those! I'm really drawn to that style of heel. They're very similar to the zipper booties I picked up at Payless but the KC's have a more classic style. I think they'd look great with a dress!

I really like the idea. I have had two pairs of Kenneth Cole Reaction dress sandals in the past (not for years though) and they were a delightful marriage of comfort and quality.

They are SO comfortable and I wore them pretty much everywhere with everything from tights to jeans to dress pants, etc. They did not fit close to my ankle but I didn't find that to be much of a problem. I guess it made them a bit more of a rocker look. It took maybe two wears to break them in and then they were fantastic. I have really sensitive feet and feel every stitch and don't usually last in heels over 2 inches.

As a rule I never wear black booties or boots with no tights or leggings. I think it just looks funny against my pale skin, too high contrast. You can do slightly sheer or patterned tights though.

And somewhat related, Kenneth cole made the most adorable pumps ever with the same style heel that I am going to hunt down soon, navy or taupe? (own too many black shoes)
