If anyone's curious, I ended up getting the twill pants from ON (find 1) - not originally intended to be cropped but the regular length is on me, and I'll probably wear them cuffed most of the time anyway. Not precisely what I wanted but the fit was decent and the timeline was tight. I also tried on the new Harper cropped pants (Find 2) and quite liked them, although I'd need to order a tall for proportion's sake - I'd recommend them for business casual over the Pixie pants; IMO they're dressier than the Pixies because the fabric is less spandex-y.
I considered buying online and paying for rush shipping from one of the brands who doesn't carry 16s in store, but when I looked there were very few options left; everything was quite picked over in the larger sizes. Mid-June seems a little early to have all your summer items sold out, but thus the cycle of retail continues, I guess...
