I have a thing for t-strap shoes. I'm hoping these will be the black equivalent of my red Malibrans, which I wear all the time. Love my red shoes, but sometimes you need black. I have the Pearl Harts in black and beige, which are super-comfy and really cute, but a little flashy for everyday wear. Also the Pearl Harts have smooth dance-floor soles, whereas they're making the Laura Evans with rubber soles, which is better for everyday street wear.

Never bought anything from Club Monaco before. I hope it lives up to my expectations. This trench is exactly what I was looking for: black, nice fabric, perfect fit (except I needed the sleeves shortened, but that always happens), no shoulder tabs. Actually I love the look of shoulder tabs, but I feel it makes my shoulders look even more angular. On me, the coat is nearly knee-length, and (to my astonishment) looks good belted. I like it with the belt tied, not buckled. If I leave it open, I think I'm going to stuff the belt ends into the pockets. I tried tying it round the back, but it's kind of a pain to get it just right.

Now if the weather will just cool down so I can wear my new stuff...
