I was in dire need of a refresh on my tops. I think I did really good! Tell me your thoughts
Not technically a top but lumped into the category - Eileen Fisher merino wool ballet neck sweater. This is MY kind of EF. Fitted through shoulder, but with a small amount of drape around the waist, but not TOO much that I get lost or out of proportion. Color is like in the pic, a pretty burgandy. Already worn. Perfect for me as I hate bulky feeling sweaters yet do need to stay warm as the weather cools off. 50% off retail. Tried on w/a vest (coming up) and looked great.
Lane Bryant (LB) sheer sleeve top, mine is slightly different than the pic, mine has sheer black sleeves with small rhinestone dots (I know, it sounds bedazzled but trust me it looks elegant).
LB white/black plaid shirt - I thought I was going to find plaid all over the place but really didn't. Well, I found a lot of flannel but that's out as my climate doesn't need that much warmth, I wanted plaid but not flannel so it was harder to find. I like the graphic print on this.
Torrid floral top - doesn't show the hi/low hem and a pretty detail on the back where there's a pleat
LB burgandy metallic dot shirt - seemed like all tops I found at LB had a little extra something that made them irresistable, this one not only was sheer burgandy with metallic thread dots of the same color, but also had a split on the back center, almost like an open pleat, but only to about waist high so no modesty issues. Tried to show the back in the find.
LB black w/star print babydoll top - I really thought I was gonna look preggers in this top but somehow miraculously I don't! LOVE IT! Subtle sheen on the small star print.
NYDJ henley blouse - I balked at the price but once I tried it on I quickly understood why I had no issue paying full retail. Nice fabric, not thin but not too thick, perfect drape, fit on the shoulder yet had give around the hips, hit at the right spot. Comes in reg and plus and a ton of colors, some of which are on sale now via Nordstrom.
Chico's colorblock tunic - on sale plus 30% off so excellent price. One of those that looks like nothing on the hanger but does wonders once on the body. Love the color blocking to draw attention up to the face. Will wear with new leggings.
Chico's cream blouse - I had my heart set on a different chicos blouse but it needed a cami which generally is a deal breaker for me. I was happily surprised when I kept shopping and came across this beauty. Two layers so no cami needed, a slightly darker color so less SSB (soul sucking beige) on me. Looked fab w/my dark wash bootcut jeans and cognac boots I had on while shopping. Can also wear with a vest and moto I got (coming up)
