I did see the Milly jacket in person on Saturday, at the new NM concept store. Didn't try it on, but it looked boxy on the hanger. I suspect the one online is the runway look.... and was meticulously tailored esp for the runway.

I think ultimately whatever you find may need some tailoring to make it just so. I suspect this chanel jacket is deliberately made boxy, so that you are supposed to go and get it tailored for more waist definition. Just a hunch... but it seems to me Chanel appeals to a more mature crowd, so their off-the-rack stuff is made boxier for more mature figures. The celebs you see wearing these jackets - I would bet you anything they get the jackets meticulously tailored too.

I also like the one you recently posted, that has the deconstructed edges.

Thanks for the response, Shiny. I think you're right about the boxiness thing. I might put this style on the back burner for a bit while I think about it. The deconstructed blazer was something I can definitely get my head around, and it might be more flattering for my body type at this point, too. Lots to think about.
