A big item on my wish list this summer was some gear that could pass for street wear...the kind I could wear to PT and then make a quick mall or grocery run without feeling too ratty. Polished gear let's call it.

Yay for Janet for posting her Athleta Prima Capris...that later also became an Angie pick. I'm wearing mine today and love them! I'd quibble on wishing for another inch in the rise, but they are practically perfect. My PT even commented on how great they look, and you know she'd be seeing her share of women dressed in gear!

Awesome, Peri! I'm so glad they worked out for you. I love mine. I've worn them a bunch already. I can't think of another item of clothing I own that goes from gear to lounge to everyday wear so seamlessly.

Peri - how is the waist on them for you? Tight at all? I've been hesitant because I thought these would be more for a pear.

I have these too. I do wear them as gear and for dog walking, but I wouldn't have any objection to being seen in them out and about. The weight and drape are great for summer.

mtgirl, only slightly snug on the waist...but I'm an IT/apple. They hit about 2 inches below my waist so that's why I'd like an extra inch in the rise even better. I get super uncomfortable with anything pressing on my stomach and I'm fine with these so I'd encourage you to try. Athleta has great shipping and return policies anyway.

I got them last week, too, and have already worn them twice! I never would've picked them out myself from the catalog or the hanger. But they are great!!

I'd say sizing is pretty TTS. I'm typically a 6 or 8 in BR and Gap, and the 8 in the Athleta pants was just right.

How awesome! Thanks also for the sizing info, I've been waffling on getting these because I didn't want to order so many sizes and now I think I can narrow it down. I may join the Prima Team yet ^^

I do have to chime back in and say mine don't fit me on the calves like Janet's do. I have really scrawny calves...like 12.5 inches...so the legs hang instead of fitting. I think they look better on Janet but I'm not letting this bother me! I think they look fine.

I'll add my info about sizing. I'm an 8-10 in most brands, leaning more toward 10 especially in non-denim (khakis, etc.). Gap cotton pants/shorts, definitely need a 10. But for these capris, the 8 is perfect.
