I remember back in college a lot of students showed up from Japan. The school I was at was pretty boring so I was glad to see them. Suddenly there were people with actual style. They had all kinds of different outfits. One thing I liked was bib overalls. Usually people think of some dude on a farm with a pitch fork but these were different. They weren't the same kind of fabric , didn't have

logos sewn on them or pockets everywhere. Often they were worn with long sleeve t shirts or I think once even a turtleneck. I remember really wanting an outfit like that. I had my own take on it though. A local hardware store sold those for painting in a virgin canvas. They were actually pretty similar to what the Japanese wore, very simplistic. I remember looking and looking for a pair but they only had them the one time and at that time I wasn't looking for them. I think they would have looked pretty good with maybe hiking boots and a black turtleneck or even black Chelsea boots, I always have at least one pair of those around. Unfortunately I never found a pair of virgin canvas bib overalls. I found them in white or the ordinary denim you see on farmers so much but I had my heart set on virgin canvas.
