I was looking to replace his raggedy (I now call them castaway) linen drawstring pants. Found a selection online with several colors. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271106818049 Assumed he'd pick army green, which is the color he has now, or maybe grey. When he said RED, I was quite surprised. So, we have red linen pants coming for him, to go with the white linen tee I got him from H&M with my dot top order. Fun!

No, mine hasn't but if he ever wore red pants, I would fall over. His entire wardrobe, suits and casual are grey, navy and black.:)

Yes! The DH agreed to spend over $20 for a pair and I got him linen pants as well. (He said he realized he hasn't bought new clothes in 3 years so I promoted "cost per wear".) As A said though, I would keel over if he selected red. Good on you!

Red pants? Awesome! My DH has recently gotten straight and skinny (not sausage legs) jeans and one pair is deep blue, another army green. I guess he likes color as much as me... And your BF too! Very cool.

Yay for fun guy clothes!

Mine has recently announced a desire for slightly combat-y boots like mine, or like the red wing heritage ranger ones found often on our neighborhood hipsters. I've run several Steve Madden flavors by him, and drug home a few that were returnable, but so far the combination of ideally under 100$, nicely weathered leather, and the perfect mix of rough/refined has been elusive. I'll keep trying though, when we met he was all ripped jeans and well used leather jackets, and now he's a khaki clad engineer - the latter has never been a comfortable fit.

Mine said a couple days ago that he needed to replace half his closet. We did a huge purge/replace about a year ago, so I'm hoping it's the 20 year old half that he realizes needs to go. Never can tell with him though! Brown is as crazy as he gets with pants though, so pretty darned sure there will never be any red!

Mine surprised me by getting socks I always wanted to get for him but never thought he'd wear. I have a much more colorful, whimsical style than he does. So when he showed me his white socks with large multicolored polka dots I was floored and quite happy!

Mine surprised me when we went shopping a few weeks ago by buying a polo with a raw seam detail at the collar and along the side seams. He's worn it several times so far.

Interestingly, being a redhead, he doesn't shy away from red. He has several red shirts . . . . but colored pants is a whole new frontier!
Glad to see there are some other SO's coming around to trying some new things

Funny coincidence my DH just bought red shorts, a definite departure from his normal neutral bottoms.

Mine actually requested to go on a shopping trip sometime soon! This is a first in over ten years together where I haven't had to physically drag him into a store. I doubt he'll go for red pants, but it was still a surprise.

Not lately. But I'm still not over the Xmas he told me to buy new towels but that they couldn't be brown! Maybe I should have checked to see if he was flirting with girls online... Hehe

My DH is a throw-on anything plain, with preference to collegiate motif, hoodies as topper kinda guy, I only started buying him actual wool sweaters a couple years ago,

I bought him a nice sweater recently, It has an unusual shade of blue, with subtle stripes, and elbow pads. ( I'd consider this a trendy piece for myself). I was concerned he'd refuse to wear it (he usually think men's trends are weird). After wearing it once, he declared he loved it, unprompted, especially the elbow pads! I did fell over... :)).
