OK, I'm going to be late, but I HAD to post this so I can read your feedback when I get back!!!

A stylist on one of our morning shows (The Circle for the Aussies), has just announced her best & worst of 2010, so I thought I'd share!

I don't pay a ton of attention to celebs, but Carey Mulligan always looks nice and La Lohan always looks like a wreck, so I have no problem with those picks.

LOVE the Mad Men-inspired looks!

And jumpsuits are pretty bad.

So all in all, a good list, I think!

I'll have to think a bit to come up with a list of my own...

I don't know anything about celebrities, but I am the only person on the planet who finds Madmen style rather boring and unremarkable. By contrast, at the very least, jumpsuits are interesting.

I'll throw leggings-as-pants (the one step up from hosiery kind) into the ring for worst trend... I think Lohan was fond of that one, now that I think of it.

I have no idea who Cary Mulligan is so I can't say. And I'm currently living in a fashion impoverished environment so all I see is shorts, t shirts and sandals most days. I am OUT of the loop for sure! (But, yeah, Lindsay looks like any other party girl I may have run across in the casinos in my 20's at 3 in the morning.)

I 'll agree with Rae's pick of leggings as pants for worst trend. The others I can agree with. If Mad Men can bring people some desire to dress up a bit more, I'm all for it.

very bad: puffy huge short sleeves
ugly: harem pants
very ugly: leather harem pants
very very ugly: ripped jeans
very very very very ugly: ripped leather harem pants.
grotesque: toe less booties
monstrous: all of the above worn together.

good: layering
very good: feminine prints
very very very good: cinched waist
very welcome: trendy flat heel boots.

I love the Mad Men inspired looks but it's not 40s/ 50s, it's early 60s. I don't so much go for the Joan look in the latest season, 1964, as she has stagnated. Peggy and Betty have updated their looks, Trudy Campbell and Megan are leading the fashion charge in the mid 1960s, and the beatnik aesthetic was introduced by Peggy's friend, Joyce, and the reintroduction of Mitch. There is so much more going on there than Joan's beautiful but stereotypical jewel-coloured pencil frocks.

Haircut of the year has to go to Emma Watson. It was such a dramatic change and I loved it.

Best dressed : Carey Mulligan, she just looks so fresh and effortlessly polished.
Worst dressed : Rhianna, so many looks I don't know *who* she is.
Best trend : The return of the trouser
Worst trend : Underwear as outerwear

Oh and related to Dawn's post, I did wonder if Hermione (sp?) from Harry Potter had anything to do with G's recent hairstyle transformation?
