Best sweatpants I've ever owned

For those of you who are in search of new loungewear: are these the cutest sweatpants ever, or what? I was on a hunt for new ones recently, mostly to use for kicking around the house, but also possibly for early morning soccer games. I order all my kids' pjs from Hanna Andersson and have always been impressed with the quality of the stitching and the fabric. Most of the women's offerings are all kinds of frumpy, but I saw these sweatpants and decided to give them a try. I don't normally order online for myself, so this was a big deal!

Well, they are as comfy as pjs, beautiful thick french terry cotton, wash really well, and cute enough that I can wear them outside. I was so impressed I was moved to write a review (also something I don't normally do!) and I ordered a second pair. I now own a black pair and and orange pair. Who doesn't need orange pants?

I suspect these pants would work better on straighter shapes. One commenter said they "cling to every nook and cranny", but they don't at all on me, they're quite roomy in the hips and seat -- probably because I have a regrettable lack of junk in my trunk. And of course on me they are full-length, not cropped. I highly recommend them!

Super cute! I am guilty of picking up random sweats, loving them in store, cutting the tags, and then realizing they aren't that great....this is a good recommendation

Jackie, I'm the opposite -- I almost never buy sweats! I used to wear Lululemon because they are (well, were) great quality. I had a couple of pairs of thick cotton sweatpants that lasted nearly a decade. I didn''t wear them outside the house, so they wore out slowly! But I went back to Lululemon to replace them last year, I found I didn't like any of their new stuff -- neither the fabrics nor the styles. I went back several times over the course of the following six months, and continued to be underwhelmed. Plus, I've never liked the aggressive way their sales associates leap on you. The Lululemon epicentre is where I live, but I'm unlikely to go back there in a hurry. I'm glad I've found a good alternative.

Was there a ton of duty on these sweats? How are they for size? I actually recently picked up a black pair from H&M that I'm pretty happy with (for around the house), but the ones you link seem nice and thick.

I am trying to hold off on shopping for october but what the heck....I can look...

Mine are about 10 years old from Aritzia when they stocked nice heavy cotton ones. Desperately need replacing. I also live in Lulu land...

I'd like to order these but am curious about the sizing. The size chart shows XS as for 36" hips and 26" waist. My hips are 35" and my waist is 27" (but very high…nowhere near where the waistband will be). I wear size 26 and 27 jeans, depending on the fit. I don't need details about your own shape, just wondering if you would recommend the XS or S based on your purchase.

Cute! I just got a cargo pair from Gap.

Jackiec and Marmee -- about sizing -- I always go for the right fit at the waist, and hope for the best with the rest of it. My hips are 34" and my waist is 27.5", so I ordered a size S. This means that there is extra room in the hips and seat, which, for me, is great. I don't like sweatpants that cling to your butt and show pantyline. Based on your measurements, Marmee, I'd order the size S.

Actually, these pants fit me pretty much like they are shown on the model (in the pic I posted), only of course on me they are full length, not cropped! On the model they don't look super tight.

I love that these are HA's! Many fond memories of their bright, fun durable clothes for my kids when they were young. If they are anything like them, I'm sure they're great!

Since joining YLF, I have come around to the the idea that everyone NEEDS nice sweats. Even if they do not leave the house, you should have a well-fitting, decent quality at-home capsule. The first time I found some nice fitting (and dare I say flattering?) sweat pants, I felt like singing from the heavens. Such a revelation for me! And with this year's athleisure trend, it is totally appropriate to have these leave the house.
