Vest follow up

Here are the two vests. I'm leaning towards the first one. BTW, I would not wear the skirt and blouse. That's part of what I'm wearing to work. I'd prob wear neutral tee and dark jeans with black or neutral flats. Thoughts? Should I keep the first one or return both?

I like them both. Hmmm . . . . I like the color of the first one better, but not a fan of the pockets for figure flattery reasons. Like the shape of the second one better.

Which color is more flattering on you?

Still like the draw string one, but more now because of the smooth look it has, the other being more bulky with the pockets. But this has to be a matter of taste and both really work perfectly!

I actually love much more the second one, then the first- not only the cut but the colour is also more closer to my heart. (hear me Suz, that's taupe!:-))
AND actually love the all outfit as styled accidentally in nr 2, why not wear with a pencil too?

They both fit you very well but I also still have a preference for the second one. The drawstring detail adds emphasis to the waist and you have a great waist.

I like both of them for you. The first reads somewhat more casual. I think you won't go wrong with either of them - which one makes you feel happiest?

The drawstring in #2 seems to hit you at the right place to show off your waistline. I think someone else has already said that. I'm agreeing with them! and I also think a vest looks good with skirts and dresses.

I like the second one. It is more flattering, those pockets on the first one are hard to pull off.

Well, Ladies....thanks for all the input....you have helped me choose. I was originally leaning toward the first one because it has the utilitarian look I was after. But when I tried them on, the taupe one seemed to define the waist better as Thistle, ruth and dianthus pointed out.....and it doesn't look so boxy.
So....I will go against my original idea and stick with # 2. Even though it isn't really army green, I think the taupe is a neutral and will go with most things.

I think you made the right choice in #2 - taupe is very flexible for most wardrobes and it looks great on you!
