Best Dressed Men! Let's hear it from the ladies

I feel like talking about bloke-style today

I'll start.

First, Greg and his friend Morgan are the best dressed "real life" blokes I know - one is 44 and the other is 50. *LOVE* their styles.

Second, I'll say Daniel Craig (in his Bond movies and on the street), Vidal Sassoon (AT AGE 81 I might add - you have to see the documentary), Gregory Peck, Tom Cruise, John Ham (but only in the TV series Madmen).

I'm sure I can think of more, but these gents are top of mind.

Daniel Craig was the first to come to mind for me. Swoon.

And not that he belongs on a best dressed list of any kind, but some recently purchased jeans for my husbad makes the rear view rather pleasant : )

My husband is on the top of my list. He always looks polished and smart in a sea of jeans that fall off and crew neck tees. He's recently started wearing more colour and that has just elevated his style by leaps and bounds!

Love the sound of hubby's style, Kirti. What I love about Greg and Morgan's styles is it *soooo* reflects who they are. It's astounding, actually.

Pil, I love what Daniel Craig wore in all his Bond Movies and in The Girl with the Dragon tattoo. If you search for his street style, he is married to Rachel Weitz, he dresses like that in real life too. We are seeing Skyfall this evening

Sonia, I'm a Clooney fan too, but have not loved his style as much as I just like him. Same goes for other actors who I really like, but they don't dress all that well to my eye if you know what I mean

My husband doesn't usually dress up anymore, but when he does he has good taste and looks good. He's from Montreal, so I think he just naturally has that built in style

For celebs....hmm, I don't often think of men's fashion. I think Brad Pitt dresses well, and someone mentioned George Clooney. Justin Timberlake is pretty snappy sometimes too!

Repeat votes for George Clooney (I don't really care what he wears, but he has a lovely collection of Armani tuxedos), Daniel Craig, Justin Timberlake and Cary Grant in the day.

Since I buy most of DH's clothes I think he dresses pretty well, but he' s not quite as adventurous as I'd like.

Mr. K has really stepped it up since I joined YLF and he is absolutely on my list these days! And of course there's nothing like a man in uniform so I have to add my Marine!

I admit I have not up till now noticed in a huge way how men dress...I do appreciate when they dress well, but mostly I just sum them up as being handsome or not handsome So is Ewen Macgregor a good dresser? Clive Owen? Jon Hamm's been mentioned already Do you think a bloke can have really nice hair and yet not have an eye for clothes, or is it usually a complete package? Repeat: I usually just think "he's so cute!" or not.

Mochi, I didn't list the names of blokes who I think are easy on the eyes, so to speak. That list is quite a bit longer! It's definitely HOW these men dress, and pull themselves together that catches my eye - in essence their style. The whole package.

For example, I think Robert Downy Junior, Ewan MacGregor, Christian Bale and Russel Crow are "so cute" (to use your adjectives), but I don't fancy their style. In fact, I think they dress quite poorly.

David Beckham, Daniel Craig...I guess I don't follow celebs enough to know their names, let alone their styles! I've never been good at remember celebrity names.

My husband has cool style but a lot of times he feels inhibited into just wearing the same plaid shirt and jeans. I got him a pair of slim camo pants that he wears if I gently encourage him. Have yet to get him wearing his Uniqlo flannel jacket on a regular basis, even though he was so excited about it when he bought it a year ago! He does, though, wear his bright orange puffy coat with fur trim regularly.

I have several male friends who I think dress very well. Also my brother-in-law is very well dressed in a j.crew sort of way. My husband, unfortunately, does not dress that well. He was a stay at home dad for a couple years and wore nothing but shorts and t-shirts. Now that he's working again he has to dress professionally and I think it's going to take him some time to find his style groove. Also he's been trying (and succeeding) to lose weight and most of his clothes are a little baggy, but I know he doesn't want to buy new ones yet because he hasn't reached his weight goal.

I think I like folks nobody else does. Isaac Mizrahi, Ralph Lauren, Jay Leno in their typical "uniforms." I also like Simon Cowell in his cashmere tees. Sooo, why do I like the guys who always wear the exact same thing (though not Karl Lagerfeld, who is too vampirish for my taste) and I don't dress like that at all? I wonder at that a lot. And the first three - and maybe Cowell, too, because I don't remember - are all wearing variously faded denim, even double denim. And I half think jeans are farmer pants and don't wear 'em much.

Ditto to Beckham, Daniel Craig, and Jon Hamm (but I'll take Jon Hamm in anything, thank you very much).

I also think Ryan Gosling dresses pretty cool, from what I've seen. He takes some chances, which I like. Bradley Cooper seems to do sharp pretty well too. And how about Kanye West?

And I love Johnny Depp and David Bowie for their individuality!

I would say my hubs before we moved to the tropics. Pretty hard to be stylish in this humidity but he's still the best dressed man in *this* environment. As for celebrities, Daniel Craig and George Clooney - swwwoooooooon

Current fave style wise is definitely Daniel Craig! Watched Casino Royale last night:).

Sting comes in close second with Scottish actor Dennis Lawson coming in third. He is a older guy but in his most recent role wears age appropriate yet youthful clothing that works. Not super stylish but appealing (to me anyway:)

Work attire: smart casual = jeans + button downs, he has an eye for good, quality shirts.

Casual: strong colors (reds, purples - yes, true), dark turtlenecks, button-downs with waistcoats, scarves. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Oh, and shoes, always great shoes!

Angie, Skyfall is due for release here mid November and DH and I are really looking forward to seeing it. You must let used us know what you think of it.

Daniel Craig seems to carry his on screen style right through to his private life. He rates highly on both my style and easy on the eye scales!

Tim Gunn and his beautiful suits. Simon Doonan and his delightful floral shirts. Andre 3000 for his use of color. And Donald Glover, because he just looks like a regular guy that wouldn't give my mom a heart attack. I guess I like a guy that actually has a signature look.
