Best comfort shoe brands?

I feel like i've asked this a million times, but maybe not on this site. It seems well worth asking again since so many of the major comfort have improved a huge amount in the last few years, at least in my opinion. I'll go ahead and throw in a vote for Clarks Indigo, although some of their other brands (collections?) still reek of the old Clarks aesthetic.

I like Gentle Soul, Born, Sofft, Fidji, some Me Too and SW. I am sure there are more but maybe that will help .

Clarks, Privo (by Clarks), Indigo (also by Clarks), Palladium, Born, Aerosoles, What's What (by Aerosoles).

Modern Clarks are more fun, but still very comfortable. Great arch support.

I bought my first pair of Clarks Indigos a few weeks ago when they were on sale - and I love them for both comfort and style!

Besides many of those mentioned, Dr. Scholls Feel Crazy Good flats. Love these cute and comfy shoes. I sometimes have good luck with Aerosoles although they need an insert for some arch support for me.

I swear by SAS Free Time nubuck shoes- I have fibro (even in my feet) and 4 screws in my left ankle (along with degenerative arthritis in it) and I wore them working 2 jobs on my feet, often 15 hours a day for years and not once did they feel uncomfortable or cause any problems- straight from the box! They are not *the* most fashionable, but they kinda remind me of the oxfords that are coming into style right now....

Arcopedico. I own 3 pairs of the same shoe because they are unbelievably comfortable and I can walk without limit in them.

Dansko, Merrells, Clarks, Borns, Joseph Seibel, Mephistos (if you have the bucks, which I don't). I also love my Uggs for the comfort factor... like mashed potatoes for the feet.

Alaska is the land of women in practical, comfortable shoes.

I like Born, Clarks, Aerosole, Simple (mostly sneakers but some flats), Clarks Artisan or Clarks Privo. I've been curious about the Cole Haan Nike Air line.

everyone has posted some great ideas... but really it boils down to what your specific foot issues are. After much trial and error you should find the brands and styles that work best for you.

It really depends on your feet. I have clients who swear by Danskos - yet I find them very uncomfortable. Ironic!

Miz Mooz is good too - for a regular width foot.

I just wanted to add Softspots to the list. When my feet were wider (WW width), and I had Plantar Fascitis- I wore those exclusively

Clarks Indigo is my favorite. I find all other brands are either too classic or still have an orthopedic flavor to them.

Miz Mooz could definitely make my list too but I haven't tried enough of their styles to know.

I don't find Me Toos as heavenly as everyone else. I have a pair of scunch flats from them (the Prissy--same as Marianna has) and they dig like mad into my heel, even after putting a padded moleskin in. Their non-scrunch flats don't stay on my feet. Their loafers and moccasins, however, are divine. I was so taken by the comfort and pretty color of the Nikas when I tried them on at Lord and Taylor that I think I have no choice but to get them. I have been looking for cute, colored loafers for a while and even though I don't generally prefer suede, they looked great and felt even better. And why should this surprise me? My first Me Too experience came before YLF and it too involved a pair of suede mocs. I still have them but they are really worn out--understandably so. They are 6 years old, which is a long lifespan for such an unassuming little pair of mocs.

I like Me Too a lot, they are the most comfortable shoe brand for me by far. Other brands that work are Indigo by Clarks, Cole Haan Nike Air, some Aerosoles and Kenneth Cole Reaction shoes too.

Comfort shoes for women are hard to come by. I usually shop for Waldlaufer shoes. They are comfortable and fashionable.

After my ankle injury, I've come to love my Danskos. I also have Softspots, Sofft and New Balance. I wear a D width to accommodate my bunions, so finding a stylish shoe in this width is a challenge. Thank goodness for Zappos!
