I have heard about the attack in the Christmas market in Berlin. I am very saddened and concerned. I hope our fabbers there are fine. Please let us know.

I have been following the news with horror and sadness. So many beautiful lives lost again, and many others irreparably changed forever.
I hope all Fabbers and their families and friends are safe, and I am thinking of you.

Also thinking of everyone in Berlin and particularly our Fabbers. Just so, so sad. I often think of places like Aleppo and wonder how those people deal with this every, single moment of their lives.......

Ornella, thanks for answering for me. I'm not in Berlin right now, but at my parents. All of my friends who were in Berlin are alright too.

I agree with you, Isabel. There are so many places on earth where people have to live with this every day (and many that don't even make the news like Aleppo does right now). It's easy not to pay attention until something like this happens and we are suddenly affected ourselves.

The Christmas market was next to the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, which was destroyed in WWII and is now not only a well known sight and symbol for Berlin but also a museum and peace memorial.

I fear what will happen at our Bundestag election next year. Unfortunately this plays right into the hands of certain people.
