This purple vest did not get a high AAR when I purchased it last year, but given my thrifty nature and the fact that I couldn't return it I wanted to keep wearing.

I have tried belting it at my natural waist and at my hips but neither worked well

This is pure experimentation though. DH doesn't like belts worn anywhere but the natural waist, so I won't be wearing this look out.
