Any ideas on successfully belting heavy coats?
Background: I’m going to Milan for a week in early January, maybe Bern after that. So I have to lean a lot harder than I like into staying warm so I can walk around and enjoy the city
I have a heavy black puffer knee length coat that isn’t my favorite, style wise. For practicality, that’s what I’m going with. The coat is Tory Burch and came with an elastic black and silver logo plaque belt that matches the coat’s zipper. I don’t love the belt and I’d rather downplay silver, though I can’t move to gold due to the zipper.
Any fun and stylish belt ideas?
Here’s a pic of me in the coat last winter. I’ve lost some weight since then so I have more ability to cinch it in.
The other photos:
Coat with the boring belt it came with
Coat with belt bag (metals don’t match or this would be the most practical option)
Coat with pearly station belt (I like this belt best in principle but don’t think it’s working here)
Coat with square pearl belt (I think this one is the keeper)
Coat open, no belt, just because I like the outfit
