Dorothy Dandridge is my inspiration for day 2 of Bella's Dress the Decade challenge. She performed in the movie South Pacific, which my parents went to see for their first date. We always had a soundtrack of the movie somewhere in the house, and I and watched it with my mum a few years back.

Dorothy Dandridge is gorgeous! I saw her in Carmen Jones and Porgy and Bess a long time ago, probably when Bill Collins used to present old movies (which I watched devotedly! Subconscious absorption of Andy Hardy movies will probably be my 1930s inspiration :))
