before i hem, what color shoes

i bought these new pants, and need to get them hemmed, but 1st i need to figure out what shoes to wear with them. i don't know why, but i'm kind of stumped. i bought the dark grey, but black feels to heavy, do you think the nude feel too light? or should i go with the 3rd pair, which i would call mushroom, but are about an inch higher than almost every other pair of shoes i own.
(also, apologizes for the wrinkled pants, this have been sitting, folded for the last 2 weeks while i debated with myself, before i decided to just ask for help and advice)

I would go with the shoes in pic #1 since they are the least noticeable. Your pants appear to be flares, and will therefore be very long. The shoes won't show much in any case. The shoes in pic #3 would also look good, but since they are higher you would be limited to wearing the pants with these shoes.

I love the mushroom if you can tolerate the heels. Subtle and interesting.

You have to assess which heels you'll actually wear with the pants the most. Then go with that height.

I love the light coloured pumps. They pop.

Since they are PPL for the mushroom shoes, I would probably style and wear them at least once with those. Then launder, if you haven't already, before deciding which shoes.

Color wise I like the third, but don't hem for them if they're too high and you'll never wear them!

Ooooh, I tried these pants too but didn't bite. Now you're making me want to order them! The grey is more flattering for me but I'm in love with the yellow. I agree to hem for the shoes you're most likely to wear. I prefer the lighter but then I have light coloured hair so often like to bookend.

All three will work when the hem is taken up. I really like the light shoes but honestly, the others work too.

I love them with the mushroom and those will more or less bookend your hair, right? I'd try with those first and see if they are wearable. If not, then hem for the lighter shoes.

I think they all work depending on the other outfit details and your hair color and also your style preference. I prefer my shoes "pop" but others prefer them to blend in - what is your preference?

sveta, i usually like to match my shoes to my pants (i.e. column of color) because i like to believe it will make me look taller. that's partly why i was having trouble with these pants.

i appreciate the feedback. i think i'll start with the mushroom shoes, since as carter pointed out, they are currently PPL.

I hear you on the column of colour thing - - I usually try to do that, too. But here are a few thoughts -- if you semi tuck your top, that extends the leg line (so you can wear a contrasting shoe without as much a sacrifice in height.) Also, PPL flares come down lower to the ground (vs. skinnies or straights) further extending the line. So I honestly think you can wear these with any colour shoe that works with your overall outfit, without losing much in the way of "looking taller."
