Becoming a Zappos VIP?

How does one do this? Ordering a lot of stuff? I think I got an invitation but I never order anything. What is so great about being a VIP for zappos - anyone know?

I'm VIP, but it's not because I order a lot! I'm not sure if it's the same now, but when I signed up it was open to everyone -- anyone who wanted to be VIP could be. I think the only perk is that you always get overnight shipping.

Marianna, Thanks. I was thinking there is some sort of catch or gimmick but in general Zappos doesn't seem to do that. I find Zappos to be priced higher than other places but I love them for reviews and their free shipping!

Zappos always gives free overnight shipping anyway, so it sounds like a gimmick to me. I would totally shop there more if they just kept their price match guarantee in place.

I think they usually give free 2-day...I got "VIP" with my first order since I had to call them about something. The guy just "upgraded" me. So, I would just call them and ask! Frankly, when you are unsure about shoes and whether they work and need to make a decision, having free overnight is fantastic, as well as free quick returns so you can get your money back sooner.

Maya, do they have a price guarantee? Have you had problems with it?

Rosie, they used to have a price guarantee, but they no longer do.

Have they changed it to 2 day? Endless did that (new items still ship free though). They still have their price match guarantee in place though.

Why did they make that dumb choice not to have a price guarantee?

You know, I just looked again at their shipping policy http://www.zappos.com/shipping-and-returns and it doesn't even mention Free 2-Day. It just says "free." Strange.
