MaryK,
THANK YOU! What a star you are! I've just been to the web-site and ordered!! There were two very similar versions: Karolina and Liquorice. I ordered Karolina, 'cos it's a bit less cut-away, less pointed and the heel is an inch lower. (An old lady like me has to make a few concessions to anno domini, I'm afraid!).
There's a gorgeous pair of ballet flats on the site. Style name "eddie". I'd really appreciate your thoughts, 'cos like all Parisians, I'm a ballet flat freak!! Trouble is, I don't NEED any more, whereas I honestly can justify the pumps. All I have are sky-high leopard-print Louboutins that I can only wear for so long, before the pain becomes just too much, or some classic patent leather ones, similar to Karolina but a lot less fun!!! Yes, they're fairly pricey, but with the euro out-performing the dollar, they're a positive bargain compared to anything as swish in a Paris store. And they ARE in the (fun) investment dressing category. Aren't they????.......
on edit A very nice girl called me back, yes even at this late hour, and queried my order 'cos my Visa card billing address was in France, and the shipping address was a friend in Westchester County. But once I explained that I had read I had to have them shipped to a US address, she offered to make an exception if I was willing to pay Fedex rates. So they'll be delivered to France after all! Now that IS good service!!
