It's been over a year, and still no white jacket for me. I tried the JC Penny sateen one about this time last year, and it got voted down as bad fit and kinda cheap looking. Then came the taupe Impulse by Nicole Richie that I loved, but again fit was my problem (pic 4).
Now I'm debating between the jacquard Dorothy Perkins moto Natalie and Dana both ordered last week after Angie's blog post including it (pic 3) and a studded, flounced Rebecca Taylor (1 and 2). This would be my dressy jacket, understanding that dressy for me is different than dressy for, say Anna going to the opera.

Tough one, as I can see both fitting your style. I do feel drawn to the DP as it's style is perhaps more timeless and could be for day and evening wear. Yet the style of the RT is fun. Hmm... I think I'll say DP.

I also vote DP. I love the RT from the front, but from the back it looks too ladylike for your style.

I don't like the RT because of the pre-scrunched sleeves. I read a thread a few days ago about a jacket with pre-scrunched sleeves, and how it was had to style. But if you already have a jacket with sleeves like that, and it works for, that might not be an issue. I vote DP

I have an Express suit jacket like that and I have my other moto which is cropped with shorter sleeves

With your history of fit issues, I vote to try both.

Are both of these DCO, esp. the DP since it's long sleeved? If I walk through a room in white, the long sleeves get dirty. I vote to try both, but I think the DP will be more versatile, esp. due to the fabrication.

I like both but I see the moto as more easy to blend with your wardrobe. There is something dressy/party about the blazer to me.

The DP moto gets my vote. It just seems like it would fit your life style and be easiest to fit. It also looks more expensive.

I vote for the jacquard DP jacket, it's classic cool and an Angie pick. The RT is very nice too but I think you'd get more mileage out of the DP jacket as it straddles both casual and dressy.

I would say the moto of these two, but what I would really love for you would be a white tuxedo jacket.

I prefer the moto because it's more classic, timeless and flexible, but think it's a great idea that you're trying both just to see.

Oh, I didn't see this had been revived! Moto wins by a landslide. I do still want a silky, maybe tux-like jacket too, Scarlet. Good call!
I'm awaiting Goldenpig's size 4 DP to arrive and maybe take it off her hands

FTR, the DP is washable, but the RT is dry clean. And the RT costs twice as much :/
