Hi guys,

Long time no post I know! I've just been working heaps, and haven't had time to keep up with the forum, let alone post.

One thing I have noted in my few forays into the fab new forum look is Angie's post about the ATL boyfriend cardie. I have been on the lookout for a purple BF cardie for nearly a year. I've finally got a few options to pick from! Has anyone seen/tried any of these on? I don't know which one to go for!

I saw the Halogen ones at the store and they looked great. The ones I saw were on the sale rack so may be a past season offering. There were different colors and a purple but maybe not the same purple. They seemed a good length and generously cut.

I would also say that Halogen one is the best quality as it is merino wool. Isn't it the one Lisa got in blue? I vote Halogen!
Nagging myself: I need BF cardigan too!!!!!

I just got that Halogen BF cardi earlier this week (in Lyons blue). I love it. It has a great drape, is 100% merino wool yet soft, and fits perfectly (I got a petite size) ~ not too long, not too tight, etc. It seems really well made. So I vote for Halogen! I didn't look carefully at all the colors though, so can't give you good feedback on the one you're interested in.

Sounds like Halogen is winning in votes so far! Of course if I am forced to order from Nordstrom I am going to be super tempted to throw in a few other items too. Forexample this top:

Has anyone seen what the Magnified Herringbone Print looks like? It's the only colour still available in M.

I can't really add anything to the cardi debate except I like the purple of the Halogen cardi and think it would look great on you. Glad you are back, missed you!!

That Halogen cardigan looks perfect, Tam. Such a fantastic shade of purple! Can't help you with the top, but I think you should get that too;-)

The Halogen cardigan is lovely but it does register as almost blue on my screen. Do you like warmer reddish purples or cooler bluish purples, Tam? If blusih/cool, go for the Halogen one. If warmish/red, I'd go for the ATL one.

The Boden one looks a little dusty so I'd pass on that all together.

Oh I just noticed the Halogen cardi comes in a brighter purple. My kind of purple! But possibly not yours.

I am pretty sure Lisa was wearing that top today in Magnified Herringbone Print. It looks super duper! Don't wait until it's sold out, grab it while you can!

Lisa found that top for me, then picked it up for herself. I have the magnified herringbone in black and white, but it looks just as good in the purpley blue color. It's a great top, especially for hot weather, which I know is coming up for you.

Also it says dry clean but I machine wash and hang dry. No problem.

Argh I missed out on the herringbone top - its already sold out in medium now too!! Grr!!!

Maya I agree the mulberry purple does look fairly blue on the screen. There is also a grape colour, but that looks too brown. The swatch of the cosmic purple looks almost pink, but the actual picture of it does look like a true purple, but maybe a bit lighter than I am after.
