Banana Republic military coat?

I went out tonight to help a friend with shoe shopping, and she "enabled" me into buying this coat...

I will post photos tomorrow, but it was almost 50% off plus I had $20 in coupons which made it less than half price. It would replace my worn-out navy peacoat. What do y'all think?

Okay, sorry no pictures but this is going back too. I had "morning after" regrets. My friend was very enthusiastic, but she isn't trained in YLF methods. It's too long, too straight, and the waist doesn't hit me in the right place. Sigh... This would look good on SOMEONE here, though, I'm sure!

Ah, I love it, but I have far too many coats as it is. AK girl, there is a similar, but shorter one at Nordies in the BP dept (juniors). What do you think?

I was trying to get Maya to buy it, but she said it was too short for what she wanted...remember it's junior's so size up! My favorite colors are charcoal and olive.

Thanks Jeneva! I have tried that coat on and it is too small in the shoulders and ribcage for me, and if I size up too much, it is way too long in the sleeves. Tulle runs pretty small but sizing issues are starting to drive me crazy!

Sad about the coat, but I had to chuckle at your description of your friend: "she isn't trained in YLF methods." It's like we're all CIA operatives or something, and she is a civilian :).
