Thank you - some great advice here. It is encouraging to not be alone in this dilemma. Aviahmaria - your position sounds very similar.

I like wearing simple jeans or pants outfits to work. I also am comfortable in a dress at work but have to give consideration to shoes - flat or very low heel - and mostly covered.

When I attend a conference in two weeks I will be in a suit or a pants look unless I find a simple dress over the next period. But for in office days I can be more flexible and a bit more fun.
