Bailey 44 dress fans - accessorize me!

My college reunion is this coming weekend and it's a "significant" year. Eep I want to wear this Bailey 44 dress to my class dinner on Saturday night. The setting is a small-town country club, so let's not get too uppity!! I feel like dress and tall boots is a safe bet - not too dressy, not too casual.

Okay, now on to my quezzies for you!

1. Do you like the black or taupe boots with the dress?
2. If I were to buy a clutch, what color?
3. In the photo, I am wearing three delicate gold and garnet necklaces, layered, Should I do something bigger and more statement-y? If so, suggestions?

And p.s. I would wear a leather moto on top, with a scarf.
p.p.s I am blonde again. And I had an epic fail in Month #1 of my hair-growing-out project and had my stylist cut it again.

Both boots are great - but if it were me - I think I would go for the taupe boots - and really pop some colour in with the clutch. I think the sky's the limit with clutch colour - I would go funky and fun. What colour is the leather moto and scarf?

Thanks, Anne! And merwoman, I have a black moto and a taupe one. I'd have to try on the taupe to see how it works with the taupe boots. Not sure if the taupes clash or match!

How do you feel about wearing the burgundy / oxblood booties you got from NAS? Am I remembering this correctly?

I like both boots equally. what kind of clutch are you thinking about? Like an oversized one?

I want to see your red booties with the dress. I like both tall boots and am having a hard time deciding which I prefer. The black are more edgy and statement making, whereas the taupe tones things down a bit. I can't decide! I think I'll be on team red.

Wow, you look so great in this dress. You really can't go wrong. The taupe bookend your hair nicely, and the black are very sleek - can you post with the motos? The clutch depends on your choice of footwear I think. I was going to say burgundy, but not if you wear red booties.

RED BOOTIES!!! Sorry...didn't mean to yell that quite so loudly....I would go with the red booties, and the taupe leather jacket. A metallic, snakeskin or animal print clutch would look fab for some pattern mixing. Did I mention the red booties??? (lol)

My hesitation is that the red booties make this too casual. Hmmmm. I could do the grey booties and add a red clutch?

I love the last picture. The peep toe booties give so much edge. I love the pendant too!!! A big fat yes to the red clutch idea.
The red booties are nice also but the grey peep toe booties just stole my heart.

I like the black boots or the grey booties. I'd love to see what your black moto looks like with this is well. The pendant is fab. I like the idea of a red or burgundy clutch if you don't go with the red booties.

P.S. And I meant to say, I love your hair! I, too, had an epic fail with my hair grow out project. Four months is I gave up and had it cut again.

Black boots or red booties. I don't quite like the taupe boots with the dress, I think the dress should be paired with cool colors, and taupe is warm for me. Black is my favourite.

I would go with the black boots AND a red clutch

As for necklaces, I would go without, and opt for a fun pair of earrings (statement) and/or bracelets (chunky).

I like the grey booties very much. Take that dress shopping for the clutch. I would love to see some crazy color, like a teal, but it would have to be JUST the right shade and tone. Bluish not green.

I can't help myself - I had to chime in to give my buddy Laura some love despite officially being off the forum today because I have a billion things to do.

Laura YOU ARE QUEEN DRESS!!! That frock is a 20 out of 10 on you. Good grief!! High five, Shannon

You have loads of great options already! Wow! So many to choose from. Here's my 2 cents:

- The peep-toe shooties are gorgeous, but not warm enough for Saturday night next week, don't you think? Do love the look with the taupe leather jacket, though.

- LOVE the taupe tall boots, but not with the taupe leather jacket.

- LOVE the red booties with the taupe leather jacket and pendant necklace. Add a textured clutch, like a little bejeweled number from Zara. They have lots online right now. The outfit needs more textural interest and no more leather.

- LOVE that you failed growing out your hair !!!. You can give me a stern talking to off the forum because I know I'm far too cheeky.

Think I will go for the red booties ad taupe jacket and pay a visit to Zara this week for a beaded clutch. Angie's astute comment about too much leather in one outfit was eye-opening. I've just been doing a little decorating and had to stop myself at one point and say, "too much brown wood in this room!" Same thing, methinks!
