Bag Ladies with limited closet space

For all of the YLFers who are major Bag Ladies - how do you store/organize your bags? I've got 40+ (I haven't really counted lately - but I know I have at least that many) and I have very limited closet space and live in a small condo with 2 (and soon to be, 3 adults!) and only 2 small clothes closets. Any advice? I change out my handbag daily, depending on the outfit that I am wearing - so I need them to be easily accessible. ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated!

40! That sounds amazing! I'm curious about this too, though I only have like.. 4. Crossing my fingers for something by color that would make a pretty picture

Mine are currently in big plastic lidded boxes. This is not the greatest system because A the top of the boxes become a dumping ground for other things which means I can't get into the boxes as easy as I'd like and B The air doesn't circulate very well so some of them smell a bit stale and plasticy. I'm considering using the draws under my bed instead x

i bow to you, oh mistress of the bag.

i don't have enough to worry about storage. i have a shelf where all the bigger bags, totes, and structured one are lined up like books. the smaller ones live on another shelf next to large scarfs that i store rolled like sausages in a row.

easy access, ventilation and a constant reminder that i don't need more bags. syc, baby.

My thought is something not in plastic that slides under your bed.

This would be too tall, but I'm thinking something like this that you could get several and slide under your bed.

Do you have wall space? What about getting little shelves and making your bags into a wall display, similar to what you see in boutiques?

I love the idea of a wall display of gorgous bags.

Do you want easy access to all 40 year round? Or can you catagorize them by season and pack some away in "deep" storage? Do you have a lot of evening bags, and do they see frequent use?

What's the rough breakdown of your bag collection?
