Bad news: my MRI of my left knee (the one that was injured in my running accident three years ago) shows more cartlidge damage under the knee cap than we had originally anticipated.
Good news: I have no more pain in that knee thanks to the exercises from the Lean Eating program.
I'm a member of the Lean Eating (LE) program that Suz was so successful with and now works for and when I considered joining, Suz was so incredibly helpful and patient in providing me a lot of information so that I could make an informed decision. I had to get my physiotherapist's ok on the program because there was some concern about whether it would make my knee worse.
My coach at LE helped adapt some of the exercises that are more stressful on the knee joint but still provided challenging workouts. When I met with my physiotherapist yesterday to review the MRI results, she was thrilled despite the cartlidge issue and is firmly convinced that building up the various leg muscles through the LE exercises has taken tremendous strain off my knee. I honestly thought I'd never run again nor be able to do anything like squats or lunges. Well I'm happy to say that I'm squatting weights, lunging with weights and back to running up to 3 kms at a time. I have a long way to go but I'm positively tickled with this progress.
Suz - I cannot thank you enough. Seriously. You have been so inspirational with your own successful weight loss and fitness program and have been an integral part to me changing my course and getting my health back on track.
And because I'm a "glass half full" kinda gal, this just goes to show you should never really give up
