It is seeming more and more that a strapless bra is in order--for everything from the simplest tank dress to perhaps a red-carpet plunging look, if I ever try that. But the last time I bought a strapless bra (20 years ago or so), I might as well have just thrown that money in a river. Despite having structured cups and a thin, but stable band, it just sunk down towards my stomach, even though the band was snug.
I finally realized a bustier might work, because of the ample structuring around the rib cage. I do have a larger bust, so it would be important that it worked well. The first has very good reviews, but can't do backless looks. The second has decent reviews, and a plunging back. I am leaning towards the first, for the good reviews, although it is less flexible.
And then for backless looks, or other looks, I am leaning towards a sticky bra, which does come in larger sizes. But do people like these, or find they need more support? I actually feel fine physically with no bra, but I'm not about to go out without one. I need the neatness of looking "contained," and I wonder if a sticky bra would do that.
