Hang in there, Mainelady. I can only imagine how stressful it all is. YOU ARE DOING GREAT. It will get easier.

Fashintern, lyn67, Nemosmom and Rachylou, thank you. Your words warm my heart.
Cardiffgirl, yes, it is daunting. I am working to not look too far ahead and to focus on what I can do in the moment. I will follow your orders and avoid germs!
Staysfit, I cried when I read your post. Your words reached into my heart and I really appreciate your kindness. Yes, we need to help our children (and selves) build resiliency. They need to be strong in body, mind, spirit and in the belief they can learn and do new things, Having a growth mindset is critical to success.
Angie, thank you so much. I work with the best people and we are rallying like never before. There is soooo much to do and things are new and keep changing. It is kind of hard to keep up, but keep up we must. The children do not join us for remote instruction until the 8th so we have more time to try and figure things out. We have until the 28th of Sept before they arrive in our classrooms, so I am focusing on the gift of time.

My goal for this year is to replace anxiety with acceptance for the things out of my control and with advocacy for the things that will help. So far, this strategy is working and action, any kind of action is better than the inaction that anxiety sometimes creates.
My Herschel backpack arrived over the weekend. It is stylish and very functional....even better than I had hoped for. It is already in my car ready to get to work!

Mainelady, it feels like we're dealing with lots of moving targets these days, doesn't it! I'm glad you're surrounded by capable and supportive people. That helps big time! And so does the gift of time, your wisdom, and excellent attitude. Good luck! Glad the backpack worked out
