Back to drawing board with another order

Hi. I was finally using up a store credit (small online boutique) and when the package arrived this morning, the sandals were too long! I wasn't that keen on them in person anyway, and plus she doesn't have any more my size, so I'm happy to ship these back--well, not happy exactly, because I pay for shipping--but at least I can get a different pair. This is a cool retailer but the stuff is pretty over-the-top so I always have to scour the site to find a few options that can work for me.

So if you feel like chiming in, please do. I realize that I may not even be getting sandals or warm-weather shoes. I may have to look ahead to the next season. So don't worry about that. Here are my choices:

Wow, I just went through the whole site and that's it for what I'd consider. If you don't think any of these are that great, that's okay. I'm going to tell the owner I'm returning the shoes and might wait as she adds new inventory for fall and winter.

Well I love both pair. I understand about the over the top-ness of it all. What do you think is holding you back from purchasing sandals?

I like both pairs. I have fear, tho, that the construction of the first pair is not gonna be that good on the foot. The patent has some warping...

Well, my style is different from yours, but I prefer the sneakers. The others look uncomfortable. The sneakers look versatile.

Both pairs are cool, but I suspect the second would be easier to work into your style, and also more likely to be comfortable. They're so different, it's hard to compare.

I like both pairs, but they are so different stylistically that they a re difficult to compare. I would go for whichever pair you think you would wear more.

What the others said. I love both but am not sure which ones you will wear or enjoy most. Could the patent ones be used in tango, or no?

Suz, unfortunately they're inappropriate for tango. I've written the boutique owner that I'll wait and see what comes in. This should work; it'll just be a slow process.

She's easy to work with but still, it's clearly easier dealing with Nordstrom and Zappos, but I appreciate and want to support her vision, and have scored a few cool pairs of shoes.
