We arrived back two weeks ago but have been getting over jet lag and back into work with some travel locally in the mix too.

Packing and WIW

I wore all my clothes and shoes extensively. We had varied weather and activities. I changed my packing list several times and ended up making some good calls including
- flat sneakers as well as trail runners. I ended up using them on the bike at the end so they were well needed. All shoes were good but I was pleased to have two sneaker options.
- taking my Athleta Brooklyn pants - I used them for my long travel days on the plane or bus - easy to wash and dry and very comfortable. I am pleased I took these rather than the wide leg cargo pants as my other pants options were loose. Sometimes a more narrow fit is better.
- I only took one swimsuit and this was fine. I had two pool swims, four in the Adriatic and two in lakes.
- my dinner options were good. One of my friends had a different dress for each evening whereas I rotated three outfits mostly. But I liked the looks.
- the only time I felt less stylish was in Paris when we had two cooler days. I regretted not having jeans available with a light jacket. But I had to make calls with four weeks and a mix of activities.
- I did not take a sewing kit and regret that. I pulled off two buttons - they are mended now I am back but I would have done that on the road.

Fashion observations
- Zagreb had lots of women in midaxi dresses and jumpsuits. Very natural and easy and appealing to me. They have a lot of lingerie and shoe shops!!
- the rest of Croatia is more casual and lots of tourists are in the mix. Some people were very glamorous with evening dresses and blown out hair and lots of cleavage. Wide leg pants are very prevalent.
- Sarajevo is a melting pot of culture and there were well dressed Muslim tourists with immaculate makeup and elegant hijabs. In the mix were lots of more casually dressed people as well. There are no restrictions on what you wear.
- Slovenia had so many cyclists in the city and rural areas. We had a very wet day and I admired the practical capes worn over city clothes. I didn’t look much at the shops there but I admired the euro chic sneakers and jeans worn.
- ah Paris. Silk scarves, trench coats, well cut trousers and jeans, loafers and sneakers. Natural hair and makeup. Even at the rugby people have a sense of style. I loved the people watching.

What did I buy?

I did some shopping. One linen skirt, two summer dresses, a soft cord blazer, and a knit top. I also got a cycling tee and scarf and card wallet. I found a wonderful boutique in the French Quarter and had fun - the dresses are the same but different colours and patterns. I wore the dress on my travels
And the gingham print top has been useful for work.

I don’t have any more WIW pictures than the earlier ones I posted whilst away. Here are a small selection of other photos taken.

3 rural Croatia
4 - early morning in Split, Croatia
5-6 Brac, Croatia
