I had a GREAT trip to Iceland - good conference, good touristing, and good time with friends. Thanks for all your help with my travel capsule - it worked perfectly! The weather did indeed range from freezing cold 30 mph winds to a hot and sunny 70 degrees, and I was prepared for it all. An old friend (male) who was also at the conference remarked that I was "dressing fancy" these days ; ).

The fashion report from Iceland is: skinny jeans with cons or similar shoes (not a boot cut in sight); leggings; boots or cage/gladiator sandals (worn regardless of the temperature); black; and tights with everything! I guess one way to wear summer styles like shorts and sandals when you live in a place that can be so cold is to just wear tights - I'm not sure it's my thing, but maybe if I lived in Iceland, I'd change my mind. The shop windows sported lots of tights and tunics/sack dresses and tights were sold everywhere (I didn't do any shopping except window shopping, as I was in Reykjavik on the Icelandic Independence Day, so the shops were closed).

Thanks again for your help! Here are few photos of typical Iceland scenes.
