Here's my take on the look - I thought it would be more of a winterish look; so this is what I've got!

Also, I don't have summer scarves :p

Lyn, I think I like yours even more than the original!

I do remember some 80s looks with over-the-shoulder scarves, but I think it can be done in a modern way (no padded shoulder Dynasty jackets and big hair!).

b.jones was good, but I think Lyn's is fab! I adore the houndstooth and the fringe. I can just picture it this winter with a camel turtleneck too.

Don't know if I could wear it without constant fussing, so I'll enjoy it on Lyn -- and, hopefully, Una

So awesome! I spent probably a good 20 minutes just yesterday trying to find some new and interesting way to wear a particularly wide scarf I have. I will definitely be trying this once the weather cools down a bit!

LYN! You are genius!! First off, you look fab in that belted scarf ~ much better than b. jones IMO ~ AND you give me the reason to stash a scarf & belt in my bag or car at all times to be ready to try this look. I'm fresh back from vacation, which was great except for the time hubby spilled a full glass of red wine across the restaurant table and down my shirt . . . and shorts. I was soaked. ( He claims he was trying to keep the kids from knocking over his wine glass.) I swear, I don't always go around trashing my clothes with broken glass and red wine, but a nice scarf and belt would certainly have come in handy for those times. Filing this away for the future . . .
