AZ residents: Are we ready for a YLF meet-up?

Kyle and I have been talking about finally arranging a get together with all the AZ YLF ladies! Lunch, shopping, etc?

Due to my annoying retail work schedule, I have very limited days to get together this month, but we have two possible dates. Would Sunday the 24th or Friday the 29th work for you? I don't have my November work schedule yet, so we were trying to plan for October.

If those dates don't work, we can try again next month. Any thoughts? I know Saturday is best for Kyle, but I usually work Saturdays.

I'm in the area, and would love to get together! Sunday the 24th would probably be better for me, but the 29th might work too. Or next month is a possibility. This is so exciting!

I'm in AZ but I imagine you are meeting in Phoenix which is quite a drive for me. You will have to report on your finds.

I'm still struggling with wanting to wear my great new fall wardrobe but even though we are finally down into the 80s now it's still a bit warm for most of my fall things.

Late Bloomer, I know, it's so hot! I did a happy dance this morning when I saw on the extended forecast that Tucson will have highs in the 60s for a couple days next week! Fall is getting closer!

I'll be in AZ for November and December, and have no idea what to bring with me to wear. I've only been there in the summer before.

In terms of weather, accuweather.com has a tool where you can put in city where you're going to be, and then with the month view you can see the average historical highs and lows for every day. Here's what it looks like for November in Tucson: http://www.accuweather.com/us/.....11-01-2010

During the winter here, I tend to wear a lot of layers so that as the day warms up I can wear less. So a typical morning walking in I might be wearing skinny jeans or a skirt/dress (often with leggings), boots, a top, a cardigan/jacket, and a scarf. If I go outside later it will often be 65 or 70, so the scarf and/or cardigan/jacket come off.

Kate, you described the winter weather so well. Most first time visitors wind up having to buy some long pants and additional layers.

PS locals don't wear shorts in the winter. We are way too sick of shorts by then.

Haha, very true Late Bloomer! Not to mention it seems that a lot of us acclimate to the heat, so even 70 begins to feel way too cold for shorts

Friday the 29th is out for me, as I have to work. I don't think I can swing this Sunday either, but won't give a definite no on that one yet. Thanks for thinking of me.

Maybe November is better then? Gives everyone more time to plan? Sadly I don't know what my schedule will be like yet.

Honestly, November is pretty full already between traveling for work, a birthday party, family coming to town, and Thanksgiving.

You guys plan when it works for all of you. When the stars do align for me to get over and meet and shop with you all...I work Monday-Friday, so weekends are better for me considering it's a 3 hour drive. And, when I do have plans to make it that way, I'll let you know! (I so wanted to go over for the Opera on Saturday, but it's just not going to work.)

Thanks Kate and LB for the outfit advice. That will help quite a bit with packing. I'm not sure when' we'll get there, so don't count on me this time for a meet up. I want to hear about it, though

I think it's just a matter of getting the scheduling right. I have zero weekend days off in November, so my schedule is hard to plan around. Maybe we should just shoot for the clothing swap? Or you can all meet up without me, since my retail schedule will be such a pain during the holiday season. No hard feelings!
