Well, as someone who opted out of the big-hair/scrunchie phase in the late 80s, I actually like this one. First the Marc scrunchie looks much more sophisticated in silk and ribbon than those ugly, cotton-print, made-with-loving-hands-at-home ones that were so ubiquitous back then. And, secondly, wearing said scrunchie with a long, sleek ponytail reminds me more of the black fabric bows that we used to adorn our low, sleek ponytails for a French look back in the early 70s.
