Ok, I went to Lord and Taylor on a covert operation with another intern. It was sort of fun. I pretended he was my boyfriend (even though he's gay and about 5 years younger than me) and we grabbed a pile of stuff and went into a fitting room together to take pics. It was actually pretty funny. We had everything from a small to an XXL (the guy I was with was probably an XS), and it was probably pretty obvious that he was not going to buy a Hugo Boss suit. Plus both of us were clearly too young and hip (and poor) to be shopping in any of these departments. We both got distracted by the Diesel and Ben Sherman departments and made fun of some of the tacky old man prints in the RL department (I'm talking cheetah print shorts here people)!
Also, when I went to macys, a guy was handing out a newspaper with a 15% off all sale and clearance coupon inside, which I grabbed and then headed straight towards the INC department. I found the ruched sleeve cardigan in a sort of mustardy, ochrey color on clearance for $17, $15 with my coupon. Obviously I went for it, and so goes the last of my birthday money.
