I've inherited a blouse from my Grandmother that is too wide across the shoulders, and too big in general. I tried to take it in by shaving off about 1/2"of the side seams and around the sleeve/shoulder seam. Now it fits in the body, but the shoulder is still too wide, and it looks strange and roomy in front. Any ideas on how to solve this? I find it difficult to understand if I can remove the excessive fabric, or if I should try other options.
