Ooo, a plan....

OK...

So I looked at trains to Newcastle. It's an hour - not too far. It's the last day of the children's Easter holiday tomorrow and I haven't done much with them the last few days. So I started to wonder about taking them on a jaunt to Newcastle (they're 3 and 5 so will get excited about going on a train) - we've never been.

Then I started thinking about my friend who lives near-ish to there. It's a trek to get to her and back in a day (nearer 2 hrs each way) and I haven't seen her for a bit. Rang her on the off-chance that she's free tomorrow and would like a jaunt to Newcastle and she is and does.

So I've arranged to meet her and my godson in Newcastle tomorrow = fun for me + fun for the children + trip out to score mummy points (need those). Because of that I've had to get the children's things sorted for school on Wednesday (yippee - I'd have dithered about that all day tomorrow).

And while I'm there, I might just pop into H&M which is about 5 mins from the train station...

Thuna, you have no idea how floored I am at your generosity and grand efforts at tracking this coat down for me. I'm sitting here at work smiling and smiling and smiling at my computer My boss probably thinks I am nuts. I can't thank you enough. I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day with the kids and your friend and once (or thrice) again, THANK YOU!

I'm looking forward to it!

This is an amazing outcome.

Polly, your thoughtfulness knows no bounds. I am finished. Bless your heart.

Maya, you are one lucky and tenacious fish!

Oh, your name is Polly! And I thought I knew everyone. Hmm, well, I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow, Polly
