No. I'm not suddenly single. Still married (and happily), but I will be vacationing with husband, alone.

Well, DH is traveling next week (Nov 16-20) to a theological conference in Atlanta, complete with lots of Greek grammar (his favorite), paper reading, and staying up late in diners (theologians are not generally big on bars and dance clubs).

He will be busy, as part of his reason for going is to rekindle connections with colleagues he only sees once a year. But I am tagging along. I'm not working much yet, my mom and aunt can hang with my kids, and, well I've never been to Atlanta.

I'm not intimidated in the least by going places solo, and I will use some of the time as a spiritual retreat. However, since we're going budget, I don't plan on hanging out in the Motel 6.

I'll have the car, so I will go to Zoo. Pandas! Pandas! Pandas!

Any Southerners have some suggestions on how to spend three days in Hot-Lanta? Shopping? Beautiful gardens and sights? Unfortunately, it looks like the weather in Indy and Atlanta will be identical next week, with means highs in the mid 50's and some light rain.
