ATL dress - anyone tried it?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this dress on at ATL? It looks cute in the red color but not sure about the shape. I also like the fact that it comes in petites.

I've obviously haven't tried it either, but love it in red. It has that simple elegance that I adore, and a cowl neck, I loooove cowl necks;-)

Hopefully one of the other lasses has tried it on.

I haven't tried it but it looks like a lovely dress. My older eyes, however, can't seem to adjust to the exposed zipper on otherwise fairly dressy clothing. I can see them on very casual things but not on a dress like this. Is anyone else bothered by this detail?

oh, I didn't realize it had an exposed zipper! I won't be trying it then. I"m with you Joy, zippers are supposed to be hidden. I had a dress (an evening dress) in 2 sizes in my shopping card at Nordstrom.com and was ready to purchase when I realized it had the exposed zipper. I just don't get it.....

I don't have this exact one,..but a similar one from Ann Taylor. It also has the exposed zipper..I think Kristen has the same one, and posted a photo of herself, It looks awesome on!! It could be a twin to this dress,but the neck line is higher....I love the style of this dress...I think you would too!!
The exposed zipper put me off initially, however it is really quite nicely done with grosgrain ribbon and very pretty...meant to be noticed:)

Julie I think the dress looks gorgeous! Have you tried it on? I love exposed zippers such on the back like that! Regarding the fabric, what is heavy weight crepe???

I haven't tried it yet - I was hoping to get to the mall today but got sick yesterday so I'm not going anywhere. Maybe I'll make it next week. I was wondering about the fabric too. If I do end up getting it - i'll post a pic!

I like the color, the cowl neck and the basic shape, but I also balked at the zipper. I think also that the pleats and pockets on the front might enhance any poochiness one might have in the belly area. In fact, I think it *gives* the model the appearance of having a little pooch. I'd have to try it on to be sure, but I don't usually like pleats on the front of a skirt area.
